DIS appoints new CEO

DIS Group A/S has appointed Kenneth Schmidt as the new CEO of the company's DIS and CREADIS activities.

The new CEO has been taken from the company's own ranks, where the 39-year-old director has had a role as global COO for the last two years. From 1 October 2020, Kenneth Schmidt assumes full business responsibility for taking the company's growth ambitions into the next phase.

To date, the company's senior management has consisted of the two main shareholders, Michael Gadeberg and Søren Bunk.

- It is important to us that we can continue the positive development of the company that we founded more than 20 years ago, with a focus on creating value for both our customers and our employees. And we believe that it is healthy to bring new energy into the mix to create a clear direction for our organization in an increasingly international environment, says Michael Gadeberg, founder of DIS.

Kenneth Schmidt, who is educated mechanical engineer and holder of an MBA, started his career at Grundfos, where he was Global Program Development Manager. Kenneth joined DIS in February 2016 and has been part of the company's senior management for almost two years.

- It is a really exciting challenge to take over the management of a company with such a strong profile, both among customers and employees. We have some extremely passionate and competent employees who make the actual difference to our customers every day. My task will be to ensure that DIS/CREADIS continues to be the most attractive place to work for the most talented engineers. Not just in Denmark, but also abroad, says Kenneth Schmidt.

The two main shareholders, Michael Gadeberg and Søren Bunk, will continue as working board members and continue to contribute to the overall direction of the company.

Michael will continue to act as Department Manager at the company's office in Stilling and will be responsible for HR.

- For me, it is extremely important that we can maintain our strong professional culture and have a strong community as colleagues in relation to the tasks we perform for our customers, even though we are becoming bigger and more international. That is why I am very pleased to have even more time to concentrate on this aspect going forward, says Michael Gadeberg.

Søren Bunk will continue as Chairman of the Board and will focus day-to-day on the company's external activities and customer relations.

- For us in a company that needs to be agile and where the small nuances make a difference, the daily collaboration is very important. It is important to understand the culture and work with the organization with this as a starting point. We know Kenneth very well and feel completely comfortable in him the management responsibility, says Søren Bunk..
